(The second version of The Half-Blood Prince.
I made a wallpaper for me yesterday and I couldn't help but add some things... I love old books :3 ) WIP and photos I used :3 TADAAAAAAAAM !! Prince Charming   *Arcane is soooo proud* Honestly, I'm really pleased with this one ^^ This drawing is a bit unusual, because I never think about Severus Snape as Alan Rickman ( though I love him in the movies  ), and all that HBP stuff used to annoy me ( I hated the end of the sixth book )BUT the idea came of the new *rickmaniacs contest : to draw Alan as Severus Snape. And as I'm reconciled at last with the 'official' Snape ( after Rowling said some very interesting things to Salman Rushdie, some days ago :3 ), I thougt about the Half-Blood Prince  So, a young Severus/Alan ^^ Photo ref used, of course O.o ( you can see them here) Actually, I mixed two pics of Alan, one for the body and another for the face ( the youngest I have, he's so cute on it X3. I don't understand why he looks older on my drawing ._." ) Lineart on paper, HB pencil ( it's been a while since I hold a real pencil :3 ) and adjustments/colors on Photoshop. I used two real pieces of parchment for his papers, some old french parchments. They can be found on the Gallica library : Histoire de Merlin ( Merlin's Story ), images 28 and 42. And the scraps on the first paper are the first lines of Merlin's definition on Wikipedia. As background, I used an old map I found on Gallica, a page of a english book of botany from the XVIth century, and, of course, the Vitruvian Man of Leonardo da Vinci. Enjoy !
